Micro-needling is the process of creating thousands of tiny ‘micro holes’ in the skin in order to stimulate the wound healing process and promote collagen production. Dr Mags uses a FDA approved device for microneedling called the SkinPen. It can be used to treat the following conditions: 1. Fine lines and wrinkles 2. Acne, rosacea and acne scarring 3. Pigmentation and sun damage 4. The neck and décolletage area for anti-ageing 5. The backs of the hands 6. Stretch marks on other parts of the body Dr Mags offers patients the option of LED light treatment therapy after each micro-needling session. LED light therapy has been proven to aid in wound healing post treatment as well as improving sun damage and treating certain skin conditions e.g. acne and rosacea. Mesotherapy is a additional adjunct to microneedling (please see mesotherapy section).
